Bocce lessons from Matteo

Bocce has been a popular sport around here lately. The kids often get Dany to play a game with them when he gets home from work in the afternoons. Matteo really enjoys it and is always looking for a playmate!

Chiara's new dress!

About a week ago, we received Aunt Ginny's latest beautiful handmade dress for one of my girls, this time for Chiara. So, I thought that Sunday would be another great opportunity to get a nice picture of the kids!

Unfortunately, I forgot to confirm my plans with the 2-year-old!!! She wasn't in the mood for a group photo...

I finally caught her and tried holding her for the photo while I hid behind her. That didn't work so well either...

Dany did get a few cute photos of her running around in the grass, though!

Cati publishes her 1st book!

For Cati's 6th birthday (back in January), we got her an Illustory kit since we knew how much she loves to write and draw. Well, we FINALLY sent it in, and we received the finished product last week! Here she is reading her masterpiece...

I'm thinking of getting our own bookbinding kit so that she can make many more books!

Happy 4th of July!!

We hope everyone had a Happy 4th!

We went to the Krom's house for a cookout yesterday afternoon. It was a lot of fun!!

All the excitement soon tired her :)

Today, the kids made cookies. Maria stuck with the 4th of July theme.

Chiara learns her letters

I realized about a week ago that Chiara recognizes most of her letters! Here's a video of her showing off her new knowledge...

Plumbing problems :)

We've had a plumbing situation in the upstairs bathroom over the past 2 weeks, and appearantly it's been a sourse of distress among at least one of our children. Read the note we found in our bed 2 nights ago...

The kids will be happy to know that the plumber is coming today :)
